Dog Treats I

"Cut-out canine biscuits with rolled oats, cornmeal and cheddar cheese. You can change the taste of these by means of substituting chicken bouillon for the pork."

Ingredients :

1 cup rolled oats
1/3 cup margarine
1 cup boiling water
three/four cup cornmeal
2 teaspoons white sugar
2 teaspoons beef bouillon granules
1/2 cup milk
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
1 egg, crushed
3 cups complete wheat flour

Instructions :

Preheat oven to 325 stages F (165 tiers C). In a large bowl, integrate rolled oats, margarine, and boiling water. Let stand 10 mins. Grease cookie sheets.
Thoroughly stir in cornmeal, sugar, bouillon, milk, Cheddar cheese, and egg. Mix in flour, 1 cup at a time, till a stiff dough has shaped.
Knead dough on a gently floured surface, blending in additional flour as important until dough is clean and no longer sticky. Roll or pat out dough to half of" thickness. Cut with cookie cutter (I choose bone shaped), and location 1 inch aside onto the prepared cookie sheets.
Bake 35 to forty five minutes within the preheated oven, till golden brown. Cool before serving. Store in a loosely protected box.
