Mum's Irish Apple Pie |
"As a bit boy I grew up supporting my mom make apple and fruit pies. She became from Cork in southern Ireland so I'm guessing the recipe is Irish and possibly the identical one her mother taught her. Sadly my mum is no longer with us, but her legendary apple pie lives on in my reminiscence. I promise you'll love this pie!"
Ingredients :
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup cake flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon white sugar
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- three tablespoons shortening
- 1/four cup sour cream
