Ingredients :
- 1/three cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup water
- half cup butter
- 2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 cups white sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour

- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- half cup chopped walnuts (elective)

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (one hundred seventy five degrees C). Grease a 9x13 inch pan. In a heavy saucepan integrate the 1/three cup of flour and water. Cook over medium warmth stirring continuously until thick. Transfer to a blending bowl and set apart to cool.
- In a small saucepan, soften butter. When butter has melted, upload the cocoa and mix until smooth; set aside to chill. Beat the sugar and vanilla into the cooled flour aggregate. Stir within the cocoa aggregate till well combined. Combine the flour, baking powder and salt, stir into the batter until just blended. Fold in walnuts if desired. Spread flippantly within the prepared pan.
- Bake for 20 to 25 minutes in the preheated oven, until a toothpick inserted into the middle comes out clean. Cool before reducing into bars.
